What’s your “superpower,” and how does it help you serve our community?

My superpower is the ability to build and activate meaningful networks, paired with my passion for community economic development. By leveraging relationships intentionally, I help strengthen individual businesses while contributing to a more resilient and thriving local community.

What inspired you to get involved with this organization, and what keeps you motivated?

My familiarity to Linden keeps me motivated. I am not a stranger to Linden; I lived in north Linden for several years. I enjoyed walking to Clown Cone because I am a huge ice-cream fan. I served on boards in Linden both St. Stephens Community House and Greater Linden Development Corporation. I was also a volunteer at St. Stephens along with my family.

I stay motivated to serve because community building is bigger than any one contribution from any one person. For me, that means every voice and contribution is important to building a community that is sustainable and bigger than ourselves.

If you had to explain your professional background without using job titles, what would you say you do?

My professional background has enabled me to empower people, communities, and small businesses with the tools they need to grow and thrive.

What’s one challenge in our community you care deeply about, and how do you hope your role as staff helps address it?

One challenge I care deeply about in our community is making sure our business owners, especially our startups and small or emerging entrepreneurs are not just surviving but truly thriving. Too often, talented and driven business owners struggle simply because they lack access to capital, legal guidance, and critical educational resources. These aren’t luxuries; they are the foundation of long-term business success.

I want to be a connector and an advocate. I want to help bridge the gap between opportunity and access, ensuring entrepreneurs have the tools, knowledge, and networks they need to build strong, sustainable businesses that uplift the Linden community.

What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you that influences how you show up as a staff member?

One thing people might be surprised to learn about me is that I am a certified Master Gardener and volunteer as a therapeutic horticulturist at a senior living facility. Gardening has taught me that growth takes patience, care, and the right environment. Just like tending a garden, I believe in nurturing relationships and communities with intention because when people feel supported, they flourish.
